Plastic Shoe Trees For Men

Are we actually made from trees? (rhetorically)?
Think about it. Everything we wear and use is made from a polymer. Trees, clothing, shoes, contact lenses and more. Polymers are not only plastics, but DNA and proteins.
So, wouldn't it be more realistic to say that we are evolved from the swamps, which with or without life, would still have these polymers, who then evolved into single celled organisms (amoebas) who then evolved (over millions of years) into mammals and whatnot, than to say we were created from a man and a woman who had an incestuous relationship?
(waiting for someone to say something like 'but what about the polymers in the dust Adam was created from!!?!?!)
Just wondering...
in terms of the abundance of chemical elements, the human body is far closer to sea water than dirt. in particular there is almost no silicon in the human body, but quite a lot of it in dirt. some people might take that as a clue.
polymers aren't formed in significant quantities in nature except as a byproduct of life... how life initially formed is something of a mystery still. presumably it was rather rare at first. that is not to say that it will never be solved, there is still much to learn. as a rhetorical point though, i suppose one could say that trees had a lot to do with supplying the energy and matter required to build a biosphere.
