Fame Makes This Lady Olympian Runner Fidgety

Back in 1984, a lady came to a small town in the hopes of becoming a world class runner that will participate in the Olympics. In just four years, she saw it all through her greenish brown eyes. This young girl from Delaware chose to stay where she is for the moment. She gets to roam around the environs of the campus as she goes on her usual workouts. As this 5 foot 6, 110 pound athlete flies to her own finish line, it's as if her two feet barely touch the path she runs on. She gets fidgety with fame especially when people ask for her autograph. She gets troubled when people give her special treatment being the self effacing young lady that she is who believes that she is just a normal person.

She is truly beyond average even when she comes off as a normal girl. In their hometown, she was the first to ever compete in the Olympics. She is part of seven world record relay teams and also hands her hands on four American collegiate awards. She even paved the way for her team in school to capture 8 individual NCAA championship titles as well as 14 Big East championship wins. That's not all for she's also got tons of the major awards.

She and her school track coach have already started planning out her career in running now that she has surpassed collegiate competition. Mental adjustments have to be made to suit this big change. Her list of things to be accomplished hasn't condensed at all and she admits that she's got more time than she wants to have. In addition to daily practice, she busies herself with being a public figure, organizing her comings and goings to track meets, banquets, interviews, photo sessions. She is also one generous lady who would like to give back by offering her precious talent and time to become a volunteer assistant track coach at their town's local school.

In keeping up with the medical aspiration she has put on hold, she also aims to volunteer on one of the area hospitals. Indeed, being a volunteer there can truly assist this former psychology and premed major in knowing whether to continue with medicine when she is finished with professional running. Has she thought about what awaits her? She avers that while she hopes to have a good husband and children, they will have to wait after her running career has flourished.
